Blind Flanges

Blind flanges are flanges that have a solid disk at the center and are used to block off a pipeline or pressure vessel. They are commonly used in piping systems to isolate a section of the system or to allow maintenance to be performed on the system without having to drain it.

Blind flanges have a hole in the center that is slightly larger than the outside diameter of the pipe. They are installed by slipping the flange over the end of the pipe and securing it in place using bolts. The flange is then tightened down to create a seal between the flange and the pipe.

There are several types of blind flanges, including raised face blind flanges and ring type joint blind flanges.
